HOLLAND POINT CAST           $22

A cast of an authentic Holland point from Hoxie, Arkansas.  A top grade example of a type that dates to the very early Archaic(around 9 to 10,000 years ago).  Made in a cream colored chert, it measures 3 and a half inches long.

GUILFORD POINT CAST     $15

This wonderful example of a Guilford was recently molded and cast by Occpaleo.  The authentic original was found in Granville, NC and is large and well flaked for the type, measuring 95mm.  Guilfords usually date from the Early to Middle Archaic period(around 5 to 7,000 BP) in the Middle Atlantic region of the United States.  (SEE ITEM)

ARKANSAS CALF CREEK POINT CAST    $18

This cast was molded from the authentic original in 2011 by Occpaleo, and it shows the fantastic stone work of the Calf Creek type.  This type dates to the Early Archaic(around 8,500 to 9,500 years ago) in the American southwest, and they represent some of the best stone working skill the world has known.   They are famous for their long notching, and an unbroken example is very rare.  (SEE ITEM)

ANDICE POINT CAST    $22

This Andice point is one of the best examples known, and was recently cast by Occpaleo for an example of the Early Archaic in Texas(around 9,000 to 7,000 BP).  The original was made in novaculite and measures 3 and 7/8th inches long, from Dewitt Co, TX.  It has not been damaged by history, and is a showcase of ancient notching skill.  (SEE ITEM)

GRAHAM CAVE POINT CAST      $25

This point is one of the finest examples known of the type, molded and cast from the authentic original in the Pailler collection, OH.  Found in 1947 in a plowed field in Montgomery County, MO, it was then pictured in MISSOURI ARCHAEOLOGIST.  The original was made in Burlington chert, and measures 152 mm, which is the top of the range for the type.  To see more history and photos, see (SEE ITEM) page.

CALF CREEK POINT CAST              $15

The Calf Creek point is famous for being among the most finely notched points in the world.  The notching is so delicate that it is rare to have both survive, as does this example from White County, Arkansas.   This example was molded and cast from the original authentic point on loan from the Pailler collection in Ohio.  It was made in a black Pitkin Chert.

MACCORKLE BIFURCATE POINT CAST      $15

This great example of an Early Archaic(around 6 to 9,000 years ago) bifurcate point was just molded and cast by Occpaleo in 2011.  It is 2 and a half inches long, and was made in a blue Coshocton chert.  It was found in Cattaraugus County, NY and is a finely flaked example of the type, showing an excellent hafting system with a slightly ground base.

SMITH POINT CAST           $22

Molded and cast from the authentic original, loaned from the Pailler Collection, OH.  The Smith point dates to the Late Archaic in North America(around 3 to 5,000 years ago).  It is found in the region around northeast Oklahoma to Illinois and Missouri.  This excellent example is 106mms long and made in an olive-brown chert.  Its classic characteristic is the deep basal notches and square stem.  (SEE ITEM)

LOST LAKE VARIANT CAST      $18

This wonderful example of an Early Archaic(10 to 8,000 years ago) was loaned to Occpaleo for casting in 2011 from the unparalleled Pailler collection, Ohio.  It is from Jackson Co, Arkansas, and is larger than the average for the type.  The base is more basally notched than the classic corner notched example, but it shows the absolute best flaking and notching seen during this time period.  (SEE ITEM)

THEBES POINT CAST  
 "OHIO TYPE" VARIETY        $18

This Ohio variety of a Thebes point was cast from an authentic example from the Pailler collection, representing one of the finest known examples of the type.  Often calle the "dog leg" point because of the shape of the notches.  Thebes points date from around 8 to 9,500 years ago in the region around Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.  This example from Licking County, Ohio  measures 3 and 3/8ths inches long.  (SEE ITEM)

THEBES E-NOTCH CAST      $18

This excellent example was sent to Occpaleo for casting in 2011 from the fantastic Pailler collection in Ohio.  It was made in Kanawa chert and measures 2 and 3/4th inches long.  It shows the classic "spurred" E-Notch and ground base of the type, which were used as knives in the region of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky around 8 to 9,500 years ago.  For more about this point, and to order (SEE ITEM).

BIG SANDY POINT CAST       $18

This cast was molded from the authentic original in the Pailler collection, OH.  It is one of the finest examples of the type known, and at 102 mm it is one of the largest as well.  Named after the Big Sandy archaeological site in Henry county, Tenn, it is found around the area of the Tennessee River Valley.  The original was made in a fine grade chert, and shows excellent flaking which is classic for the type.  (see ITEM page)

ETLEY POINT CAST                   $25

This Etley point cast was molded from the authentic original in the Pailler collection.  It is large and excellent example of the type, which usually dates around 4,000 to 2,500 in the American Mid-West.  This example measures 6 and 3/8th inches long, and was originally made in a high grade Burlington chert.  The point was found in Osage Co, MO (SEEITEM)
