PRE-COLUMBIAN PRISMATIC BLADE $12
This cast is from an authentic blade fragment from the Valley of Mexico, and dates from before the time of European contact. It was made in obsidian from a prepared core, in the Meso-American style known to be the most advanced in the world for making such blades. The long controlled edge of these types of blades can produce an edge more sharp than surgical steel blades, were often inserted in wooden clubs call Macahuitls, for warfare. (SEE ITEM)

THE COLIMA FROG ATLATL LOOPS $28 (CASTS) These carved frogs were cast by Occpaleo in 2011, as possibly the finest example known of Atlatl spear thrower finger grips from Pre-Columbian Meso America. The originals were made in Spondylus shell, and they date to the Shaft Tomb Complex of Colima, Mexico around 2,000 years ago. The casts were then attached to an atlatl in the style of other known Meso-American examples, and they functioned very well for this. (see Atlatl model with attached cast loops). (SEE ITEM)
