@Occoquan Paleotechnics 2018

This wonderful Benton of the Bottle-neck variety was molded and cast by Occpaleo in 2011 from the authentic original.  It was made in Hornestone and measures 5 inches long.  Bentons were used in the Middle Archaic Period, around 6 to 8,000 years ago in the area around Western Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.  Many of these show usewear as knives as well, and they usually exhibit an unusual knapping technique at the base of the point, which gives this variety its name.  (ex.
