A raw unused elbow of Flowering Dogwood, that is suitable for the making of an ADZE tool.  The steeper angle with this elbow is too much for conventional axe bit of steel or stone, but perfect for the "scooping" cutting action of an adze, with bit set perpendicular to the angle of the handle.  The total length is around 18 inches long, and the bit area is around 1 and a half inches diameter and the handle around 1 and a quarter inches diameter.  It has been cured for over a year indoors, and has no cracks or flaws.
