A cast of an authentic Agate Basin point from Boone County, MO. An excellent example measuring 115mm long.   Sent to Occpaleo for casting in 2014, this example shows classic features of a type projectile point that flourished in the transitional Paleo to Archaic Period around 9 to 10,000 years ago.   Agate Basin points have a wide range:  Frank Roberts described the Agate Basin site in Wyoming, and the range extends to Canada in the north, east to Ohio and down to Arkansas in the south.   This example was found by Randy Henderson in May, 2000.(COA Perino 200) Cast copyright Occpaleo2015
