A modern sport Atlatl set, that was used for public Archaeology demonstration. This set was designed to be user friendly across a wide range of throwers attempting first time use of the atlatl. We came up with a handle that easily holds the dart in place, and allows a non-slip grip stop with several ways to comfortably hold. The main shaft is our native River Cane, and fit with genuine deer antler spur, measuring 24 inches long. This molded handle can actually be held in 4 different ways, and has an Inuit inspired finger peg to secure hand in same position if desired. The dart is made in Poplar wood, and is connected with a brass sleeve for a take apart convenience. It is fit with modern steel field point(160gr) and suitable for archery targets only, and not a hunting design. The set was USED but now re finished for LIKE NEW condition, and only had slight target scuffs on point and shafts, which have been resanded and stained, and all is ready for throwing as a matched set.
