This modern knapped  knife is made in Texas Georgetown Flint, and it was hafted on a handle of Elk antler.   It measures 9 and 3/8th inches long.  It is being offered on the Clearance Collection as it was used in the upcoming video on stone tool uses and comparisons, and was slightly used on cutting leather. This piece was made to showcase the beauty of natural materials and to celebrate the traditional technology of knapping stone for tools.  Stone knives must be treated differently than steel knives.  They can cut hide and fiber, but are not used aggressively to chop or carve wood.   The knife was slightly used and retired here as display knife for the Clearance Sale collection.
