A CAST of the TYPE example of the Maljamar projectile point.  The original measures 47mm long, and 20mm wide, with a max thickness of 4mm, and is from the Maljamar archaeology site in southern New Mexico.  It was typed by Calvin B. Smith in 1972, and this artifact was loaned to Occpaleo for casting in 2025 by Smith, so that the information can be shared for archaeology.  This style of projectile is found in the region of southern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle, and west to southern Arizona and northern Mexico.  It dates from the Late Archaic to transitional Woodland Period, around 2 to 3,000 BP.
