A modern sport style atlatl thrower, made to be the most user friendly to a variety of sizes and throwing styles.  This model was developed over 20 years of public demostrations with the public.  Over the years, this was found to be the easiest for people of all ages and skill levels to use successfullly as a beginner.  It was also found to work very well for advanced throwers, as the grip stop and dart rest keep the throw consistent as well secure dart placement.  This model is 24 inches long, and made in our native River Cane shafts.  The grip is a molded handhold with a rubber non slip surface, and features a grip stop and a dart rest for easy placement.  There is an Inuit inspired finger peg, that is optional for extra secure throw.  The dart is not included with this item, but included in the pictures to show the several throwing handhold positions that are possible to fit any user.  The spur is a cut of genuine whitetail deer antler, and lashed with flax fiber.  A break from our historic and art models, this is the best choice for comfortable target throwing or competition.
