 This scraper tool is from the European Upper Paleolithic culture of the Solutrean, and dates 22 to 26,000 years ago.   It was made in Grand Pressigney flint and measures 53mm long and 21cm wide.   It is from the site of Abri Casserole, France.  It was sent to Occpaleo on a generous loan from the Lowery Collection, originally deaccessioned 1960 Copenhagen Museum, National Museum of Denmark (Ex. Collection H. Pageault, Vienna: Ex. Dr. Hermann Meyer, Prehistoric Europe Archives, Germany).
