COSMETIC SECONDS. A display case containing 6 projectile point casts from Western Stemmed/Great Basin archaeology, that have been pulled aside for cosmetic defects on ONE side only.  Defects might include bubbles or color differences, or any issue that only affects one side, allowing a lithic cast to be displayed correct side up to make a collection within a case for display.  The collection contains a knife, a Cougar Mountain point, a large Haskett base, a large Haskett point, a Crescent type tool, and a Western Stemmed biface. The casts contained within the case will no longer be considered scientific worthy teaching collections, and will be clearly labeled "cosmetic defect" on the hidden side so that they will not be used in future as proper teaching collections.  This sale will include a key information sheet with the information background on the examples within case.  The mount here is USED, but in good condition from top view, with one scratch on side and 4 pin holes to secure.  It measures 8 X 12 inches, and the collection here is a Western Stemmed Great Basin theme from the Paleoindian/Early Archaic time periods containing examples from a previous Great Basin study, shown in last picture above.
